Tim is a native of Colorado and has resided in Longmont for the past 17 years with his wife, Amy, also a native of Colorado. Longmont is special for Tim because Amy grew up here and her parents still live in the area. Tim met Amy while attending Colorado State University, and they were married in 1998. Tim enjoys the outdoor Colorado lifestyle, and he and Amy participate in skiing and biking activities; walking their Scottie dog, Charlie; driving (and working on) their collector cars; or just relaxing in the yard, both at home in Longmont and at their vacation home in Tabernash, Colorado.
Tim graduated from Colorado State University in 1994 with BS degrees in finance and real estate. He has more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry. Tim is an active student of the industry; he regularly attends workshops and conferences and meets quarterly with the money managers he uses in his portfolios with the goal to improve his clients’ chance of future success. He has a vested interest in expanding his understanding of behavioral economics and the relationship between investor behavior and success.
Together, Tim and his financial assistant, Julie, provide a professional yet personal touch and specialized, objective financial guidance for all clients. Tim has always taken a listen-first approach, believing that through building the client relationship and addressing each client’s unique needs, he can better create portfolios that fit their goals and objectives. It is with this experience and objective guidance that Tim is able to maintain his strong commitment to being his clients' “Trusted Financial Advisor.”
Julie has lived in Colorado for 24 years with her husband, Michael, and their children. Julie and Michael have been married since 1993, and they are blessed with four children, who are now young adults. For 10 years when the children were young, Julie had the opportunity to be home raising and homeschooling them. Julie and Michael enjoy camping, reading, home improvement projects, mission trips, and watching their kids grow into incredible adults.
Like so many people, Julie has had a variety of experiences in her life and career. She has worked as a draftsperson for a landscape architect, as an office manager for a computer training company, and as a teacher’s aide at a charter school. Julie landed in the finance industry as a result of her parents' unfortunate experience following a stroke her father had at a very young age. Their financial advisor took advantage of her father’s diminished cognitive abilities and her mother’s lack of knowledge. They were victims at a very vulnerable time in their lives, which didn’t sit well with their only daughter, and this triggered Julie to enter the industry herself to assist clients and their families in navigating the complex world of financial management with integrity and honesty.
Julie has now been involved with office management/administration for more than 12 years, the last nine specifically in the financial industry, and has worked with Tim since 2016. She considers herself blessed to work with an individual who is straightforward and honest and has a very kind heart. Julie is dedicated to not only being able to help people plan for their future but also increase the enjoyment in their lives.
